Kendama!

KENDAMA

It's a traditional wooden japanese toy that tests your skills. I wish I was as skilled as the guy in the following video. I just recently bought a simple kendama from the Goody's $1.50 store, and so far I'm only able to catch the ball into the biggest cup :-P I gave it to Justin, hoping that he could develop some hand-eye skills...so far, he doesn't really get how to play with it. I need to show him this video:

Mad skills. I'm jealous.

I think I'll show Aki this video.

I had to modify the string on the ones you gave the kids. I had to wrap it around the handle and tie it up so the string is shorter. Aki conked himself on the head the first time he started swinging it around. Hah hah.

Oh yeah I made something for you... but I'm not quite done yet. You'll get it when I finish. :)

Yeah, I was thinking it was hard even for me to do the simple move of catching the ball in the largest cup, cause the string is long. You know, there's actually a sports organization in Japan for Kendama, and there's "official" sports-regulation Kendamas - I'm guessing the official ones are more better for the professional moves shown in the vid.

Something for me? Wow :-D Thanks! I can't wait to see what it is ^_^

Okay tried the Kendama even more. I can only put it in the big cup too. I watch a bunch of other YouTube clips and there are some serious skill out there! I guess it's kinda like yoyos huh?
