El Presidente still wants to ban gay marriages

Now, what is this gonna teach future generations? That Americans are homophobic peeps, who are hypocrites (sp?) when it comes to our "freedom" of whatever.

I say, just let people marry people. Are homosexuals not people like everybody else? So, the pro-gay peeps are touting that gay marriages actually last longer and are less likely to end in divorce as their heterosexual counterparts. But, I personally think, if given the chance to marry, eventually, in the long run, gay marriages would most likely end in divorce, so using such as evidence for pro-gay-marriage might backfire later on.

I say, no matter what the premise, if two people want to marry, whatever the hell they are, just let them get married. Let them take that legal commitment. It's what they want. Why should the government play "God" and pick out who should get married and who shouldn't?

If this ban actually does go through, I hope the American voting constituents will find another president come election time to undo it. You see, us peeps on Guam cannot vote for El Presidente. We are stuck with whatever our US brothers and sisters pick. So, I hope there are many other forward thinking peeps out there who will NOT support what El Presidente Bush is doing.

Don't even talk about the War. I haven't the time for that just right now. We can bitch about that bitch later. I'm off to work.

PS....Happy 06-06-06!!!

I think our whole war on Iraq was misguided. We were aiming for the wrong place, in my opinion. The person who provoked us on 9-11 was Osama. So we should've been tearing it up in his country. But we went for Saddam the dictator due to "weapons of mass destruction".

I think the US is to eager to be the first in line to police the world. I'm scared we'd make many enemies along the way, if we haven't already.

You're right...love is love. But Bush's "morals" are immoral to me. So who's right?

$0.50

I hear ya Jess. I'm scared that all the shit this administration has done (especially the war) will come back to bite the US in the ass, and it will be catastrophic. Did you hear about the Marines from Okinawa? They're moving over here to Guam.

I have mixed feelings about this also.
(1) the economy could always use an influx of money from the military, but, as always, whatever money we get will ALWAYS be mismanaged and misused by WHATEVER GovGuam administration. After how many years of "promising" leaders...I've finally resigned to the fact that we are DOOMED, no matter who we try or what we try. GovGuam is far too corrupt for undoing or fixing. It's pathetic and sad.

(2) We will become an even bigger target for whomever hates the US. I mean, we have always been a target, but with more military personnel coming in, we will definitely be a target of choice for N.Korea - a country that HAS nuclear weapons a.k.a. WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION. Maybe we should've concentrated on this place, huh? Oh wait...there's no oil there...

And, about OIL -- did you know our gas price keeps inflating faster than a helium balloon? Fucking $3.32 a gallon. Fucking shit. My Corolla is not as bad as say, a SUV, but damn...I'm not rich either...

Venting -- $1.99
Cussing -- $ FREE

I guess we can try to drill for oil all we want, but US land is shit compared to Arab countries. We just don't have the good stuff beneath our soil, water, whatever.

I wonder if there's any oil beneath the marianas trench :p

then maybe our gas prices will be cheap...

$$$ you win $$$ I used all my cash to fill up the tank :p
